Outsourced – Pilot (S01E01)
NBC
This has been the season of new comedies. Outsourced might be the most interesting concept of them all. Setting an American comedy in another Mumbai is exciting and interesting. The first episode was decent and significantly better than the first episode of most NBC comedies. I think because the idea brings up a lot of fresh situations to explore. I’m also grateful that this is not another mockumentary. I think it’s safe to put that idea away for a while.…
$#*! My Dad Says – Pilot (S01E01)
CBS
It’s called Shit My Dad Says. It’s not that big of a deal. I don’t know why CBS made a big fuss over using all these weird characters instead of either calling it what it is, or changing the name entirely. Seriously, CBS is calling this show, Bleep My Dad Says. They write it $#*! My Dad Says. That’s just stupid. And, to be fair to the Twitter account that started it all, this show should have had a different name because it just isn’t worth watching. The Twitter account is hilarious, the show isn’t. Even William Shatner …
Parenthood – I Hear You, I See You (S02E01)
NBC
If I had to describe Parenthood to someone, I think I’d say it’s the Friday Night Lights of family drama. That’s probably the highest praise I could give a show. Tonight was the second season premiere and if this episode was the standard for the season, it’s going to easily be on my must-see-tv list for 2010-2011. Tonight we saw another Baldwin on TV and Minka Kelly as a guest star.…
Modern Family – Pilot (S01E01)
ABC
If you didn’t see Modern Family last night and you’re reading this review of the episode, stop. Go watch it, then come back. This show is officially my favourite new comedy of the year. And, it’s all because of one scene. Seriously, if you didn’t see it, go watch it now. The rest of you, follow me.

Bones: The Pain in the Heart (S03E15 – Season Finale)
FOX
This show really isn’t afraid of doing what it wants.
Sometimes, shows become complacent and formulaic the point where it becomes a detriment. And, whether it works or not, you have to give credit to those shows that try and change things up once in a while.
Hart Hanson and the Bones crew definitely shook it up to finish up the shortened third season of Bones.…
How I Met Your Mother: Miracles (S03E20 – Season Finale)
We’ve officially closed the chapter on the third season of How I Met Your Mother and it’s incredible how regularly this show manages to outwit other sitcoms. While tonight’s episode was was a plot-heavy one, there was still tonight’s gem: Barney’s Datetime Continuum. If that’s not enough to keep you reading, how about photo stills of every frame of Ted’s life-flash (including one that makes no sense!). Catch it along with the rest of the review after the click.…
